Had great food drink here a couple of weeks ago, put a new £5 note on the ceiling that had the King Charles the Third picture on it.
Quaint place you'd never guess was a restaurant. Loved it. Be ready to drive on dirt roads for this adventure of a lifetime
Located in Gross Nebraska Population 2. It's a charming local place. If you don't know the place you would never go looking for it. The building is somewhat decrepit, it's clean but our table was sticky from worn out varnish. Their sign was propped up against the front of the building. There's a separating crack on one side of the building. Don't worry about finding it in town. Just look for all the pick up trucks parked around it. The place was full when we left. Cowboys and farmers are their forte. It's bar food with good flat iron steaks and prime rib on the weekend . They have a small salad bar with some homemade items. The tater tots that 3 of us had were cooked perfectly as were the steaks. We came in the back way off of the Fort Randall dam, driving through the location of the historic fort. We came over the Missouri River from South Dakota into Nebraska. The frontier fort's location and history are preserved there. Coming from that way we went 10 miles on gravel roads. On the way out we used the paved road as it was getting dark and cell phone reception was iffy on the back roads.. If you love local places and authentic atmosphere this may be a place to try!
Mike and Mary are great people and the bar has some of the most famous Hamburgers around.
