I'll say that the piano player was happy to hear.
Easy to take around 18 o'clock. service was very nice, our waitress was super, answer to run. my fish and chips were excellent. batter crisp, but not heavy. really good. recommended red skin potatoes instead of fries was a ok change. my date had panko white fish and was terrible. fishy taste overwhelms every seasonal or panko taste. tells me it was old or badly maintained. white fish shouldn't be like that. my husband potion was watery. a small bourbon taste for the $10. the wine list was a number of $8 to $13 bottles at $9 a glass or $40 a bottle. slightly worse than the normal 2x or 3x for restaurant prices. the Calamari app was really good. great sauce for it. decent bieralternative, waitress has taken me a solid beer from the sister pig and whiskey bar next door.
I haven't been to rockefellers yet, and I'm sure I'd go back. michael was our server, and he was excellent and very attentive, but did not float. it was a special occasion(85th birthday,) and the kitchen was very courteous with desserts, candles etc. the chef even came out, imagined and gave us a free dish fish cake that was delicious and the fried oysters were great! the atmosphere was perfect. it reminds me of P.J clarke’s in nyc, which was always a favorite!
My waitress was excellent. eating was not worth the price they charge. choice for dinner not worth it again for. after several friends, most said they are not known for their burgers to dinner. we made the best of it. read the history online I expected a fine culinary experience. In addition, they advertise that they are in great point. the sign outside said big pointe park. deceptiw. I was really disappointed. sylvia greene
Went to Rockefeller's for Valentine's day. We got there before our reservation so we had a chance to get a drink at the bar, and listen to the live piano music. The bar atmosphere was very nice the bartender (Jeff) was great! we were seated on time for our reservation, we got an app. (fried oysters) they were very good. we ordered a NY strip steak and salmon. the steak was okay tender, but a bit fatty. The salmon was also good, but had too much sauce with it. all in all the flavor of the food was great and the atmosphere is very nice. great place for a night out for a date.
