It wasn't over powering with sugar like most. The crust was soft and a mild butter taste. This pie was slap yo Mama GOOD!! Please never change this recipe because not everyone like sugary sweet. Love it
Ordered 2 G bird big breakfasts, 1 sweet potato waffle , side of grits and a slice of coffee cake for my family. Golden bird food from years ago was extremely delicious and prepared to perfection. However, after the food I received today Golden Bird really need to either rethink their recipes or retrain the cooks. The cinnamon waffles in the big breakfasts contained extremely large amounts of cinnamon which made then inedible. The sweet potato waffle was under cooked. The coffeecake was completely under cook which made the slice extremely dense and mosit. Trash!! Also, the cook was very heavy hand with the cinnamon. Needless to say the $44 cost paid for breakfast was a complete waste of money as the majority of the food was inedible. Donuts from the local donut shop would have been more enjoyable then Golden Bird.
My cousin and I ordered from here 3/3/22 through Doordash. He forgot to ask for extra pickles. I called the store and spoke with Ty who stated she can't give extra pickles she was rude about it and when I asked for the manager she didn't even say hold on. I could hear her saying she was done with the call and next thing I know Danny the manager is on the line. I asked him could he give us extra pickles and he said no we had to start a whole new order with Doordash for 1.79 worth of pickles. He then went on to say we already have pickles with our order. I asked for his manager and he told me it's Nadia and she works in the morning. I have tried to call several times. I encountered Ty once more who said she wasn't there, and the other times I received a greeting with no way to leave a voicemail. I am very disappointed that we spent $70.00 and they refused to provide $1.79 worth of pickles. To boot, the food isn't even as good as the one on 135th and Avalon.
The fried chicken is really good and VERY crispy. Their batter is like tempura on steroids. It was crispy the next day aftet spending a night in the fridge. My only complaint is that the chicken and/or batter needs some seasoning. Compared to Louisiana Fried Chicken, it 's barely got any flavor. Nothing that a little hot sauce from home can 't fix. The biscuits were a bit cakey and I need to try then again. Not as good as KFC. I would skip the cornbread muffin.
Pretty good chicken but very slow and bad customer service. It's not worth the wait and attitude. I'd rather go to Chick-Fil-A cause I would get good chicken and better customer service. .
