Wishing I could downgrade from 1 star to 0. I have copied their response to my review below for reference. They blamed EZ cater for not giving me enough advance notice about the order being canceled. I use EZ cater almost weekly at my office and never have issues with them. I contacted EZ cater to please check what time they received notice from Babycakes and low and behold, they did NOT receive notification from them until midnight (not 9AM as babycakes stated). To make matters worse this is what ACUTALLY happened: Babycakes canceled my order at midnight saying they did not have a driver (which they did, they just apparently didn 't think my catering order was worth it when the food was scheduled to arrive at 7:15AM that SAME MORNING. You are the same time zone, you know that people are sleeping at midnight and you are lucky that I was able to see my email at 5AM in order to find time to find a new caterer to help me at the last minute. EZ cater called Babycakes after the canceled the order at midnight to offer a third party driver but they DECLINED. Look, mistakes happen in the business, understandable, but this was a conscience decision made based on the fact they didn 't want to drive on 90 and didn 't make a large enough profit that was worth their while. On top of it, they lied about when they decided to cancel it and tried blaming it on EZ cater. If you have something important to have your event catered for, DO NOT use them. While this was a 'small ' order to them, it was a big and important event for my organization which I was planning and in charge of. Their response to my first review below: Hi Samantha, I am so sorry we disappointed you yesterday but I would advise you to order direct next time to avoid issues. At 9:00 am yesterday, I contacted EZ Cater and told them we would have to cancel the order because we could not locate a driver willing to go to the suburbs at that time. As you may be aware, Chicago is undergoing a huge construction project and traffic has been terrible. EZ Cater takes approximately 50 percent of each order, so for us, your order would have been worth $163 to us; not close to enough to cover ingredients, labor and a 2 hour drive to the 'burbs, that we would have had to pay a driver $100 to do. We were still willing to do that, as we hate to disappoint customers, but all of our own delivery staff was already scheduled with something, and when we tried to hire a third party driver in the morning, it got turned down, which is when I contacted EZ Cater. EZ Cater said they were going to cancel the order and they are usually pretty responsive so I was surprised as well, when I got the middle of the night notification. I am not sure what was going on with them but they never got back in touch to let me know it hadn 't already been canceled, something I cannot do on my own. They do not give us the client contact info. Sorry again to have caused issues for your event; please consider ordering from us directly in the future so we can properly schedule and be able to get in touch to confirm everything. Thanks, Babycakes I was really looking forward to the food from this place which I ordered a week in advance for a work event and the order was confirmed by Babycakes. I woke up the morning of the event to see an email sent to me at midnight that they cancelled the order. I 'm glad that I woke up early to double check and I was left scrambling to find a caterer that could accommodate to my event at literally 0 notice.

Recently had the Babycakes food truck cater our wedding of around 60, and my wife and I couldn't be happier! Leah and Kyle pulled through beautifully and made sure that our guests had the best pancakes and breakfast burritos available. Would definitely recommend!

Leah and her Babycakes team did an amazing job catering our wedding of over 100 guests in June! She was so helpful in developing a menu and really prompt in her correspondence leading up to the event. She really went above and beyond in many ways. Everyone talked about how good the food was. We'd 100% recommend!

This was our second time using Babycakes for a party and I cannot recommend them enough! The owner, Leah, was so amazing to work with as I frantically emailed her with changing party/order sizes just days before our brunch event. The food was incredible, on-time and Leah even added a tray of heart-shaped hash browns to our order which was such a lovely surprise! Our guests raved about how creative and delicious the pancakes were and the mini breakfast burritos and mini chicken/waffle sandwiches were a huge hit! Thank you Babycakes, we can't wait to try out more of your menu!!!

I have twice used Babycakes to cater Mother's Day brunch in our home. They are on time, the food is warm, and the food taste is excellent. This year the avocado toast was a huge hit!
