Delauder's Bbq In Gatl - Gstlinburg, TN

This is an off the path area but so worth the trip. When i arrived local police officers were eating lunch, i asked them what they thought of the food served. The officer stated everyone in the department eats here at least once a week. The food was awesome. This will be a must stop spot for us everytime we visit TN.

Not from around here and we decided to have to go bbq for dinner. They were busy when we got there and we were told they do not do to go orders. I do not mind long wait times but that was ridiculous. There is also a review from a person that lives down the road from this place and said that said the same thing. No to go orders.

I ordered catering for a large group. The food was awesome and my family enjoyed everything. There was plenty and we ate pretty much all of it. Working with the owner, Denny was awesome! His communication and professionalism was greatly appreciated that goes a long way! We had an array of food but the ribs, oh my.. they were so good in my opinion. The Veggie Stir fry was very good, surprisingly since I love my meats but the vegetarians in the group everyone else loved it! This is a small mom pop kind of place, so be patient, it is worth the wait. Thanks again!

Found this place on line after researching where the “locals” say are the best food spots in Gatlinberg, TN . The location is about 10 minutes away from the strip and crowds aside an old gas station which to us added to the experience. Inside is not fancy but the amazing smells get you right at the door. This is a family run business and there customer service was over the top! The owner came and chatted with us at our table and even came outside when we were leaving to say goodbye and thank you!! Southern hospitality at its finest. That’s not even the best part…. Mmmm the food, literally the best baby back ribs we’ve ever had!! The rub was phenomenal (homemade original recipe) and they were cooked to perfection, no fat literally falling off the bone! You don’t even need sauce but if you add it, that’s home made too! It has a sweet tangy flavor delicious! We had turnip greens and fried mac and cheese to go along! Super happy we decided to give this place a try. The prices were very affordable to. Wish we had a great place like this back in Wisconsin. Thank you Delauder family for your wonderful gift of food, your passion speaks for itself!

Owner online berates homeless people and then threatens physical violence when told his behavior isn't appropriate. This person does not contribute meaningfully to Sevier County, due to his conduct, behavior, and violent manner I do not recommend eating at or patronizing this establishment. Shame on him.
