We could tell he really enjoyed sharing his knowledge, and interacting with his guests. Being given the opportunity to sample their brewed products, in addition to their distilled products, puts a delightfully different spin on this tour. THANKS AGAIN TOM!!! Your tour was awesome! Much Love from Birmingham, Alabama
Mid-sized distillery with a well-curated visitor center meets class clown tour guide. The tour starts in what is a highly themed visitor center. They have put a lot into the bar and gift shop, much to see without going on the tour. Not the largest visitor center, but it is better than the big guys: Woodford, Four Roses, Makers, you get the idea. This is a mid-sized distillery that also has the Kentucky Bourbon Ale beer line. More time is spent on beer than anything else. They are a brewery that also makes bourbon. In most respects they should not be on the trail. Small production bourbon distillery similar to Jeffersons. Tour ends with a bourbon tasting near the tanks and still. Again, it's a very nice building. Here's the thing: our guide Stephen thinks he's a lot more funny and entertaining than he is. In a world of college guys who try way too hard to get the girl's attention, Stephen is exactly the same with every woman on the tour. His behavior was obnoxious and borderline inappropriate. The longer the tour went the more obnoxious he became. By the time we reached the tasting he was all but trying to get numbers from the women on the tour who were more than double his age, he is that guy. Their bourbon was ok, and might have made my shelf as a daily mid-tier bottle. However, based on the tour, I will steer clear of the Town Branch line and recommend others do the same.
Amazing tour!! Taught me a lot I didn’t know. Steven is an awesome tour guide, can’t wait to come back and take another tour with him!
This is the first brewery/distillery tour I have ever been on. We enjoyed the whole experience!! The history, the process and the tour guide were all great. I would recommend visiting and it will cost you little time and money (unless you stock up on their products lol).
Great brewery and bourbon tour, Augustus was great and all the spirit’s had a wonderful blend of flavor. Bought the BluegrassSundown!
