Restaurant was busy. Did not seem to have time for outsiders. Someone eventually made time for us but it was rushed and not very thoughtful. Had few choices from the menu actually there was no meant just what could be warmed up in the microwave. The kitchen was closed. They did not seem to want to be bothered with us.
We spent a week in Guadalajara visiting some friends and taking day trips out to Cuenca, Torrremocha del Campo, Sequensa (sp) and Valdepena de la Sierra. Stayed at the Tryp Hotel, and had tapas a few times at Casa Redondo downtown. We knew we'd hit on a good restaurant when it was packed. Anyway, its rustic and relaxed with great service just like most Spanish neighborhood restaurants. Our friend frequented the place, so it seemed we might get priority for seating, but even though it felt like we were special, we had to wait our turn. Not a lot of English was spoken, but the staff was so well tuned that they understood. Incredibly there was a rather large parking area about 75m away. Wonderfull food and a few really creative tapas we had never had before. Excellent prices. If you are in Guadalajara, this Casa Radondo is a must. Thanks to our friend Raquel.
