Started with a watermelon mint Agua Fresca pitcher and sampled the borscht, the yummy cheese plate (0of which the herbed cheese was my fave) lamb skewers, empanadas, and queso fundido-bomb. The queso fundido had both steak and sausages and was served with bread. We had a group of eight so we pretty much ordered a bunch of different dishes and shared them. Their pizza was pretty good too. There's an option to split the pizza with toppings on half and different toppings on the other half. A great way to sample the different flavors. They've even got pretty decent bathrooms and a little shop attached to the restaurant to walk off all the cheese consumed in the restaurant.
We were looking to grab a snack but didnt have time, so when I saw that this place had empanadas de borrego, we had to try it out. We got empanadas, pizza and cheese to go. The empanadas de borrego were my favorite, especially with all the dips and sauces they provided. You could taste all the spices and fresh ingredients. Pizza was good too and larger than I had thought, wish I would have had time to actually eat here. The place was so cute, a more upscale establishment compared to the smaller mom and pop shops in the surrounding area. Definitely stop by and check them out.
One of my favorite places in Valle de Guadalupe. My husband and I have been here twice. First time was in Oct. 2020 and most recently over Memorial Day weekend 2022. The food is delicious. I ordered the chicharron en salsa roja with handmade tortillas; my husband ordered the chilaquiles and empanadas. He wasn't too impressed with the chilaquiles but he did love the empanadas. You won't find them on the breakfast menu but if you ask, they will make them. We tried the spinach goat cheese and borrego empanadas. We loved them so much we even ordered some to go. After breakfast we like to go over to the shop and buy cheese and jams/jellys our favorite is the cheese with basil. The little jars of jams/jellys make for good food souvenirs. Great family restaurant with friendly staff.
