Los Magueyes - Guanajuato

This place is located directly on the street of tia sophia is not a lot and that eating is wonderful! we have eaten as much as possible too late! the service was friendly and eating was really amazing. very cheap too!

I wanted to treat a small group to barbacoa a few months ago, but when we arrived, the sign that barbacoa was only at the weekend. but they were open with their normal menu, so we looked at it and decided, ohmygod, what a wise choice. four of us ate and ate, two orders by queso fundido, sopa aztecas round, a large, divided mocahete of a many number of meats (arrachera and chorizo and what else can I remember) and a crimson with a big cat. not every place has great tortillas! we couldn't finish everything. it was perhaps the best meal I had in the center of mexiko ever and I live here. I had the barbacoa 3 years ago and can't remember anything specific, so I apologize that I can't give a lead to it. but for the others dinge on the menu, go for it! the waitress was exceptionally friendly and helpful and very attentive. the cost for four were about 700 pesos, among them beer and pointed. $40 us. logistics: los magueyes is from guanajuato south, on the road to irapuato, shortly after it separates from the road to silao. So they need wheels to get there. a taxi will probably take them along, and the taxis are very cheap in the city. pick up the PHONE number of the taxi company and call them a pickup. if that sounds like a hatling, it's worth imho.

Llegamos un domingo a la 1 de la tarde, a esa hora ya no había barbacoa (me dicen que sólo la hacen sábados y domingos, y hay que llegar antes de las 11 para alcanzar). Así que nos tuvimos que conformar con un Molcajete Los Magueyes, que tiene arrachera, chorizo, frijoles, nopales, aguacate, etc. Alcanza para 2 o 3 personas y está delicioso. También tienen una salsa con xoconostle muy sabrosa. El servicio fue rápido y amable. Precios razonables, menos de $150 por persona. Recomendado.

El servicio es muy bueno y amable. La comida es de verdad muy rica. Todo lo preparan al momento por lo que es posible modificar algún ingrediente en el caso de las personas que no comen animales (como yo), o que no quieren picante, etc. Las enchiladas mineras son muy ricas. Los mariscos de lo más fresco y la barbacoa de los fines de semana se veía muy bien (yo no probé pero mis acompañantes sí). Las porciones son bien servidas y el precio es muy razonable.Tienen estacionamiento y la música y ambiente te remontan a un estilo completamente mexicano.

Excelente lugar. Muchas opciones, molcajetes de arrachera, quesadillas gigantes, enchiladas mineras, mariscos, pescados, barbacoa de borrego, consomé, chinicuiles, escamoles y pulque. Muy buen ambiente y buenos precios! Lo recomiendo mucho.
