The restaurant does not use eggs and any dishes that contain milk are labelled, so it was easy to see what was vegan. Our food arrived quickly, looked great, the staff were friendly and it was a nice interior. However I would say that the food was not the most amazing or flavourful that I've had. It was non-greasy which was nice and the tempeh in my dish was good. But honestly, you get something much more flavourful in a back street restaurant. (Which I would always recommend
Beautiful design, amazing menu make it so hard to choose reasonable prices and eat comes without too much delay. you want to come back and try other things! especially recommend the steak salad one of the most amazing salads of all time (and I usually don't like salate). excellent mock meat when they are in it.
I went pretty early on a Saturday because I had heard it might be busy. eating was delicious, some of the best I had in China. a little on the expensive side, but not more than a burger or so it would be back. eating was very tasteful. ps not only cash, they do not know why it says that. updated by the previous review on 2022-04-02
The staff at MAYS were helpful. The food was pretty good. We ordered quite a few dishes and ate them family style. Food came out relatively fast given the restaurant was crowded and we were there during the lunch rush. There is a lot of mock meat, so if you’re not into that, this place might not be for you.
MAYS is an upscale, high-end, vegetarian restaurant where you go if you want to feel fancy in Guangzhou. They have many vegan options that are clearly labeled on their menu. This place might be pricey, but it sure is tasty too! We tried their highly recommended superfood salad with avocado, black pepper, and sea salt. Not being the biggest salad fans, this one didn’t disappoint with so many textures – fried, roasted, seared – it was all there! The spicy cumin BBQ skewers were so reminiscent of fatty meat, that we had to question the waiter on it! Oh, and have we mentioned the braised eggplant? Updated from previous review on 2019-08-31
