The food itself had been good. Everything was fresh and tasted delicious. The service was also very friendly. BUT: Because we were a mixed group of Germans and Poles, we got a Polish and a German menu. A service charge of 10% was noted on the first page of the Polish menu. The German map said nothing about this service fee. When the bill came, then the surprise: we noticed that the total amount was too high. A salmon dish was charged at 70 zł instead of 60 zł. And for an ordered cola 12 zł instead of 6.50 zł the reason for this was that it was a large cola. No large cola was explicitly ordered at all, since the cola was only listed as 0.2 l on the menu. There were no other sizes to choose from. You could only pay in cash (in euros or złoty , card payment was not possible. When we said we would like to pay in euros and the waitress converted the amount, we noticed that the waitress had calculated an exchange rate of 1€=4zł. At the time, the actual exchange rate was 1€=4.40zł. When asked, the waitress said that the chef set the exchange rate at 4 zł. So with our total bill of 350 zł, we would have lost 10€ to the boss because of the miserable exchange rate ; Therefore to all guests: always pay in złoty in this restaurant and check the bill carefully. Plus consider the 10% service fee.

Good to have their chicken noodle soup and their tomato soup is yummy. I do their mushrooms dish and their grilled fish.

During our visit to Brandenburg and the Plastinarium, we made a detour to Gubin. The Ratskeller was recommended to us as a restaurant and we were not disappointed. Friendly service, a nice ambience and the food first. Four different dishes and everything was perfect! It really doesn't get any better! A thank you to the kitchen team and the service.
