Angelino's Fresh Choice Market - Guelph

Great lunch hot food, pizza, pasta, sandwiches, and a good grocery section alsoMuch better pricing on deli meats and cheese than big stores.

I always passed by this place and thought it was a bar or a restaurant with the backed out windows and huge Angelinos sign, no idea it was a fruit market. Anyway, I was with a friend and she stopped to get some fruit and when we walked in I was surprised how dated and dreary this place was. It looks like it is ready to fall down as nobody has bothered to spend a dime to update the place since it was built in the 70's? The shelves are bare and there is not much to choose from. For an italian market there was nothing italian about it, no selection of gourmet pastas, olive oils, coffees or gelatos. amazed it's still open. I bought some green grapes and some Fuji apples and after eating them I had stomach pains and the runs. I think it was all the petroleum wax on the fruit. The stuff added that makes them shine and extends the shelf life or something. I was not expecting to be in pain after eating their food and would advise avoiding this dump and stick to the grocery store. This place was probably nice 30 years ago but now it's just a mess.

Fresh Baking, fresh pizzas, buns, bread. Olive bar. Salad bar. Produce. Imports. So nice to look at especially dessert. But very expensive. Not a market, more of a high end italian boutique. Fun to walk through. Have had a whole meal here. 4 people spent over 70 bucks.

Recently discovered Angelino's, and have been making visits here since. Although the grocery items are a little expensive, the variety and freshness of the products they provide are worth it. Would highly recommend checking out their hot food items- the chicken parmesan sandwich is one of the best I've had. And don't forget to try one of their freshly baked goods in the display case!

Angelino's is imbedded in Guelph's little Italy and has a dedicated following. Things may be expensive, but freshness and quality are guaranteed. Staff are on hand to help you, whether or not you speak Italian :-). Been going here for years.
