Sunset Grill - Guelph

I order the Sunset, basically an Eggs Benedict. It was beyond awful. The three eggs were a flat connected mess, rather than three nicely poached eggs. All three were underdone and bland. The peameal bacon was undercooked and one piece was almost an inch thick, most of which was fat that should have been trimmed. The potatoes were also bland and undercooked. The sauce was bland, seemed like yellow food dye with flour and maybe milk. I was barely able to eat it and regret eating what I did because I now have a stomach ache and am repeating rotten egg flavour. I will not go back.

Best Breakfast Ever. Very clean and staff friendly and know there jobs. Never had to ask for anything. 3 eggs 5 pieces bacon homefries toast and endless coffee. $8.49. Will be back again.

Visited for the 2nd time in 2 years. Decided to give it a try again. Although the service was good, the food was average again and nothing fantastic. I felt that it was a bit pricey for the quality.

I stop in for breakfast regularly. Good value, great service and lots of choices on the menu. If your have special requests I have always found them willing to make substitutions to menu items. I have never been for lunch but suspect its similar. It can get very busy on weekends and a short lineup is not unusual.

Return visit, go here about once/ month. New owners here on Clair Road. It looks the same but is not run well. Food was much slower, cold. Very irregular chop on the home fries, which of course means many are not cooked through. I sent mine back. Pancakes had a crust. Staff did not check on us, but coffee was refilled regularly. A lot of staff standing around; the greeter was in and out of the kitchen and cash area, as well as being outside without washing his hands. Great menu, previously good; tread cautiously now...
