Safeway Liquor - Guerneville

Rebekah made my visit to Safeway so enjoyable that I felt compelled to leave a positive review. She typically works at the drive-up service, and whenever she's on duty, the experience is consistently great. Everything is usually prompt, and her customer service is exceptional. If she ever runs late for any reason, she takes the time to come out and explain the situation. She’s genuinely a wonderful person who truly cares for others. I'm really thankful for her!

During my week-long visit, I stopped by this Safeway twice and found it to be a charming small-town store. I was able to pick up everything I needed for dinner, including beer, wine, and desserts, and I would definitely return to this location. I noticed many posts mentioning long lines, but when I visited on Friday at 5:00 PM, there were only three people ahead of me. The cashier and bagger were polite and accommodating to me and everyone else in line.

There’s nothing quite like being in a small town where the only grocery store doesn’t stock any cold medicine during the winter months. The pharmacists here are also unfriendly and unhelpful. I live in Guerneville and plan to do all my grocery shopping in Santa Rosa instead, as I find this Safeway experience disappointing. I really wish our river town could offer better options.

I recommend Safeway for her sandwiches. You have the best fresh sandwiches you can find in Guerneville. Your Italian combo is dying. They are a bit expensive, but fresh, plentiful and tasty.

Don't bother making lists, because they'll be out of a majority of what you're hoping to find. If you're paying with cash, plan to wait forever for the single cashier, because their self checkouts don't accept cash, and they're the only way to get out of the store efficiently. There's constantly dogs in the store despite it being against health codes. It's unfortunate that they're the only grocery store in the area, because they use it as an excuse to suck.
