Our second visit to Carmona, our former well a year ago, the standard of food has gone a bit since. We ordered both a Sirloin Steak, my partner was fat and rissly, she ordered a side order of chips I ordered a side order of roasted veg, the veg was most disappointing, it came in a very small bowl with veg, which apparently had little care in his prep. My partner ordered chocolate fountain for dessert I ordered Lemon Merenge yes false spelling I know my lemon tasted if it had been in a freezer for most of him life. The service of the staff was excellent, a waitress was very aplogetic about Steak, who left my partner 60% and deducted an amount from the bill. Hopefully it was a night of food. Another thing the door to the rooms makes an annoying sound every time it opens as if a teacher run their nails down aboard. Please get some oil out.
I was very impressed with Carmona's set menu, which offered great value. The employees were never intrusive, but always available when needed. The steak was delicious and everyone enjoyed their desserts. I would definitely return to try the shakes, as they sound delicious.
We booked on Sunday afternoon for a family dinner, the restaurant was clean, the staff was very friendly and attentive, tapas teller we ordered, went down a tasty bite. I felt as if it was a good value for the quality of the food we got, two of our party were not happy with their fries and the host got friendly a fresh charge for them and the white sangria was not for all the palate that san terro malbec was a nice companion to sirloin. large padron pimientos and croquetas! sirloins were delicious and cooked as desired.
Dissapointing. The service on the night was very poor. It took half an hour to get drinks and a further 30 minutes for some starters to arrive and even then it took a further 10 minutes before we had all the staters at the table. Had spiral cut rib eye steak which had not been rested and for £35 is very expensive for what it is.
