Ordered coffee and espresso not good 2out of 3 cappuccinos.. coffee ok but waiter admitted he couldn't work the frothed and a flat white that was ok. Not really good value for £25 a head.
The Compass has lovely outdoor seating with a beautiful stream running through the garden. However, the food was lackluster and uninspiring. The staff appeared indifferent. It would greatly benefit from serving fresh, daily-cooked dishes instead of using frozen ingredients.
Recently went to this restaurant for Sunday lunch after visiting Gomshall. The service was excellent and welcoming, the nut roasts were delicious, and the sticky toffee pudding was possibly the best I have ever had! My only suggestion for the team would be to add something vegetarian to the children's menu, but overall the staff were accommodating. Despite some negative reviews, I had a very enjoyable Sunday lunch in a cozy, relaxed, and charming setting. I will definitely be returning! The restaurant also had beautiful flowers and a lovely stream next to a garden with a small play area to keep kids entertained.
The best spot to be in Gomshall. Food is great, staff are brilliant. Drink is amazing and the locals are so welcoming.
Came for Sunday lunch as a large family, food came out on time and hot. Starters were generous and staff were lovely. Lovely play park and stream for the little ones and a beautiful garden to spend the afternoon in.
