I went for tomato, black pudding and mushrooms, all for just over a fiver! Amazing value and delicious. The garden is well cared for and the people there were lovely. Also dog friendly. Definitely will return. My friend had the cheese omelette with beans, equally as yummy.
I stopped here yesterday on the off chance as I wasn't sure what time they closed. The shutter was down but the staff were there. They very kindly made me a cup of tea (I can't drink cold drinks at the moment due to medical treatment). I was so grateful because I was feeling a bit under the weather and their kindness and tea with a kit kat revived me. Thank you x
Fantastic fresh breakfast. Homemade bubble and squeak, doesn’t get better than that. Proper coffee. A lovey garden to sit in if the sun is out.
I’m assuming the this used to be lovely little cafe is now under new ownership? Stopped here on June 25th and immediately upon walking through the door we were rudely welcomed and told that there was a 30-40 minute wait for food even though the cafe was quiet (seemed to us they wanted to close early). We ordered a hot chocolate, coffee and a ice lolly and I thought judging by how the girl reacted at the till we’d asked her to perform open heart surgery. She had both hands on her head, huffing and puffing and generally stressing over what we had asked for. The hot chocolate had a spoonful of hot chocolate power in it so was more or less like milk. Won’t be stopping here again which is a great shame as we’ve been stopping at the Hogs Back Cafe for over 20 years.
The Hog's Back Cafe is a pleasant roadside cafe with a large lay-by off the A31 providing parking. Set overlooking Surrey and the North Downs on one side and the traffic rushing past on the other it has a nice grassed garden to sit in...
