Dave’s shrimp was really good. Pretty spicy. Several in our group got the shrimp Po Boys and said they were good. I didn’t think the gumbo lived up to the hype.

Food was pretty mediocre right before walking in you almost lose your appetite with all the trash in their parking lot. Wow this is one thing and why the atmosphere is so low oh so it was more of a bar than a restaurant. The first table we sat at was old and shady, and they tried to fix it with pieces of wood, but then we moved tables, which was also nice of our server for moving us, but when we got our food, the cheeseburger was mediocre, but the hush puppies were good. That was the only good thing at this restaurant except for what my other people said the shrimp was pretty good, but if I was wanting to go somewhere to get a good burger, I would say just go to Whataburger . Also, if you want good service, the server, the service is pretty good here but still Here it is in the middle of Panama City and it might be a long drive from most of the hotels that you stay at so that is my opinion if you like it, you like it

The crew and I visited from out of town, and the Sandbar was within walking distance. We were impressed and came for a second time. The atmosphere was full of locals just enjoying their time and we liked that. The staff all had good, down-to-Earth attitudes and were cool to interact with. The live music was good and entertaining. The second time, we had John as our server and he was great, couldn’t be better. The drinks were great, the bread pudding was notably great.. and I don’t even eat sweets but I’m a foodie. The second time we came , a friend got the bread pudding to go, you get a HUGE portion. The wings were one of the best I’ve had. It tasted as though they were previously smoked, and were amazing to eat just naked. Our food was reasonably prompt in delivery and we only had to wait a moment for a table to be cleaned in order to be seated properly. I would recommend to anyone in the area, and will definitely be back if we’re around again. I wish we had more time to check out other dishes. Definitely a good hole-in-the-wall hotspot to check out!
