Tony Nelson's King Of Philly Cheese Steaks

I have always enjoyed eating at Tony Nelson's, but today was a different experience. When I called to place a take-out order around 1 p.m., the person who answered the phone was very rude. Despite the loud background noise, I attempted to place my order for an original cheesesteak without onions. The person on the phone interrupted me several times, eventually telling me to wait while her computer loaded. After quickly taking the rest of my order, she abruptly ended the call before I could specify my cheese preference. When my order arrived, it was missing peppers and cheese. Overall, this experience was disappointing and I am unsure if I will order from Tony Nelson's again.

I had a great experience at this restaurant. While the atmosphere may be a bit dull and lacking in style, that doesn't matter because the main attraction here is the Philly cheesesteak. You have the option to add Cheez-Whiz, which is not commonly found in this area. The owner personally handled my transaction and it was clear that he was putting in a lot of effort to keep the business running smoothly. Many restaurants have suffered due to COVID, especially smaller ones, but Tony Nelson's has adjusted their hours to ensure that they can still serve delicious food during peak times. I highly recommend checking out this place, I really enjoyed it!

This restaurant serves the most authentic steak sandwich I have had outside of Philadelphia. The meat was of good quality and they also offer whiz, which was a huge plus. The bread is just like Philly bread - light but still holds together well. It could use a little more seasoning though. The only reason I am giving them 4 stars is because we had to drive an hour away and sit in the car to eat since the dining room was closed.

If u haven't had the best hoagie, sandwich the works great service whenever I travel I make sure I stop by Mr tony also a service member military like my self ask for him he take time to speak to his customers please open 1 in San Antonio lol great food folks

When I travel, I always make sure to ask for Mr. Tony, a military service member, as he takes the time to talk to his customers. It would be great if they opened a location in San Antonio. The portions are large and the place is always bustling with food-loving people.
