Contribuisci feedbackSometimes you have to go behind your roots and land in places like Gummersbach. In the Bergisches Land you can hike and eat waffles with hot cherries, but you often don't get out of good-bourgeois. That was before we discovered Millennial, so a Qype ach, Yelp recently said. There are two lines: the restaurant (gourmet) and the bistro (high daily kitchen). We decide, turn and turn. At the end we end up at the small menu from the restaurant. The various Amuse Geulle were excellent in the first category included a perfectly guessed pea ice idea and execution first choice. With pulpo, fennel and chickpea, the sea creature is perfect and softly cooked butter, the chickpea are sprinkled with beautiful aromas and the fennel is almost artistically prepared in various variations. Very nice start. Woman takes a glass of the afternoon spa Syrah from southern France fruity and not too heavy, but with almost threatening dark red color impregnation meaning. If Schneider's holy Moly Syrah would like to try out from the Palatinate, but further obligations stopped me from it, and the wine goes exclusively as a bottle. The halibut to the main food comes in beautiful architecture among the potato sticks and next to two slightly boiled, but all the tasty broccoli roasting wonderful beside the potato puree with two capers on it and a clack of lemon Chetney. The fish could have been more courageous, powerful, roasted. The rest was great. The dessert is a mixture of inlaid melon (weak to taste), a balsamico ice cream (lecker, mad) and still some original Beans Cru Virunga hidden, but not in my memory. She is delighted with a mixture of sorbets (Rote Bete is very well made, pipe/cast good) and ice (Choco). Nice completion of a delicious meal. The service meets the requirements and prices that are very noticeable. But I would like to have a little more courage, only exceptional, much less courageous. But the kitchen is very good and I'm back.
A view of the light in the otherwise cloudy Gummersbach. Very nice and lovingly furnished rooms, super delicious food and a lovingly prepared breakfast. This is not, as is usual in this price category, as a buffet, but is brought to the table! Top! I'm glad to come back!
