Gunnison Pizza Company

This is a decent little pizza spot! It was the only place open on a Sunday night, so it was quite busy, but they managed the crowd well. The staff was very friendly, and the menu offers a wide variety of options. The salad was excellent! The pizza wasn't cooked as much as I usually like, but it had great flavor. I will definitely return and request a crispier pizza next time.

I waited 42 minutes for a pizza and a beer, and I even had to remind them about the beer since there were hardly any customers in the restaurant—just one other table. The guy in front of me ordered a salad but refused it after seeing the staff not wash their hands before preparing it. To make matters worse, the employees were rude to him. After waiting 40 minutes for my pizza, I asked where it was, and they pulled it from the top of the cooler, claiming I hadn’t been there. My 71-year-old dad and I had clearly been waiting for 40 minutes! I told them that this was ridiculous and that they needed to get their act together, but instead of addressing the issue, they became confrontational. We will NEVER eat here again, nor will we recommend this place to anyone! On top of it all, the pizza tasted undercooked and inedible. We ended up having to order from another restaurant.

The pizza was quite good, but the service left much to be desired. They insisted on keeping the door open on a very cold day, leaving everyone inside bundled up in coats. While we were there, wait times reached nearly two hours, and it felt like some customers weren't treated with the respect they deserved. Overall, we came for the pizza, and it delivered, but unfortunately, the experience wasn't the most pleasant.

The cleanliness of the floors and the rest of the restaurant leaves much to be desired, and the seating arrangement could use some improvement. I noticed they use Torchy’s cups, which gave me the impression that they are at least trying to offer something good. One staff member was notably hardworking, balancing food preparation, managing the cash register, and taking orders all with a positive attitude. There was another worker present, but he mostly stayed out of sight while rap music played loudly. Clearly, there are several areas that need improvement in this establishment, but overall, it's managing to get by for the time being.

I stopped by for a quick meal before crossing the pass, and I was pleased with the pizza. They have a decent variety of pizzas, salads, drinks, and desserts. The milkshakes were great as usual. The staff was efficient, but it seemed like they were understaffed, which made the atmosphere a bit stressful. I hope this improves in the future. Most of the seating is outdoors, with just a few tables inside.
