Magnolia House - Guntown

The food at this restaurant is not consistently good. Some days it's delicious, while other days it's cold and dry. On one occasion, one dish was hot while the others were cold. I might consider giving them another chance, but I'm hesitant to spend $13 on a dish when I'm only satisfied with one item.

I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent quality of the meat at this small town restaurant. The cuts were top-notch and the preparation was perfect. We will definitely be returning to confirm that our experience was not a fluke. So far, we were thoroughly impressed!

My bill came out to $81.29. I ordered two steak entrees that come with 2 sides, 2 side salads, and 2 rolls (as listed on the menu). I specified the two sides I wanted with each entree, but when I arrived, the cashier refused to give me the salads, thinking I wanted double of the sides I requested, which was not the case. However, when a customer spends that much money on a meal, they should receive what they are supposed to. If there was a mistake, it's fine to charge extra, but at least give me the opportunity to receive the salads that should come with my meal instead of getting loud in front of everyone and telling me what I did or did not say. Just because you interpreted it that way doesn't make you right, and anyone familiar with customer service knows that the customer is always right. This is poor business practice, and it was the second time that same lady had an attitude with me when I came to pick up my food. This is very unsatisfactory.

The food is absolutely delicious! The servers are very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant offers a cozy, family-style dining experience.

I ordered the grilled pork chops with a baked sweet potato and salad, while Bet opted for a salad and a regular baked potato. We used to dine at this restaurant frequently, but our routine has changed since having children.
