Went to Nandini with family for a light dinner after temple visit after having read the reviews on tripadvisor. I must say that the people who have appreciated the food here are yet to have better dosa s in their lives. We ordered Ghee roast Dosas, Vada, Poori masala and tea. We observed that the Dosa hardly had any trace of Ghee. It was dry, served cold and didnt taste good. I didnt expect this standard from any restaurant in South India, that too a mere 100 meters from Guruvayur. The vada was very average. So was the poori masala and it had to much oil. The only this that was worth was the tea which was actually brilliant. I am not sure if the food was this sad due to the holiday rush or otherwise. I am sure the restaurant is capable of serving better quality south indian dishes. For me, i will definitely avoid going to this place again.
Located near the temple, this vegetarian restaurant offers decent tasting food. Our dosa and uthappam were above average, but the meals were just average. The food was safe to eat and we would recommend stopping by for a meal or two.
Used to be good when few north indian UP staff were there.Curd rice was available. Now it's not available.Alas! In krsnas dham curd and curd rice is missing? When uniformed ladies were serving it used to be good then. Now very old people are serving. If you order hot coffee by the time it reaches you it becomes cold coffee.LOL.Tea and coffee has too much water. These old retired cases are slow to serve.Managements decision. We the customers gotta tolerate. At times irritant old man would be at the cash counter.Manohar/manoharan used to be good, but now he seems to be out of power.
The food is delicious and reasonably priced, especially if you are ordering dosas or idlys. We did not sample any North Indian dishes, so we cannot comment on their taste. Ultimately, it was a good value for the money.
