Promiseland Winery - Guttenberg

Nice winery located off the Great River Road National Scenic Byway. We stopped in for a wine tasting and enjoyed a couple glasses of wine after riding the Cassville Car Ferry from WI. The service was good and the girl helping us was friendly. They offer 4 or 5 samples for free or you can get 10 for a small fee. I felt like the wines were more on the sweeter side overall, but they were enjoyable and it was a nice break from driving/sightseeing. There's plenty of seating with areas in front and back when you walk in. There are two fireplaces in the front seating areas with TVs. It was early in the day so no fires, but they did have football on which I'm sure the men appreciated! They also had a cute shop with a variety of snacks, shirts, and whimsical gift-shop type stuff for sale. Great place. Definitely worth stopping in.

Fun place with good wines. We visited Sept 2022 and we're able to get sandwiches, couldn't today with a wedding being prepped. Overall a nice visit and beautiful building an grounds.

Great experience on a Sunday at promiseland. There was wonderful live music, very kind and helpful staff, and lots of choices for wine and drinks.The thin crust pizza here is also one of the best pizzas in the Dubuque area.I highly recommend!

The best place I have been, need I say more? The pizza, wine, service, and atmosphere is phenomenal. It is a definitely must try! I will be a returning customer!
