Carlton Bakery - Gwynedd

There is always a good selection of cakes at this restaurant, which my children enjoy choosing from as a special treat. The cakes are freshly made and reasonably priced.

I recently visited this restaurant to pick up some cakes for a special occasion. I had placed my order weeks in advance but was disappointed by the short-tempered and unfriendly staff. Despite having ordered ahead of time, I had to list off everything I had ordered again. The staff member even rolled her eyes when I asked for a loaf of bread and made me bag it myself. Overall, I was very disappointed with my experience and would not recommend this restaurant.

This bakery is amazing. A trip to Caernarfon is not complete without stopping here. The bread is delicious and fresh, and the cakes are heavenly. Despite the fact that visiting this place may have contributed to my expanding waistline while I worked nearby, I couldn't resist the temptation as the enticing smell drew me in every single day. Keep up the fantastic work, as I believe you are an essential part of Caernarfon.

Brilliant bread especially the rolls and malted loaf however staff are very grumpy !!!! I visit here every time we are over in Wales and would go nowhere else for my bread

The bakery was closing, but we were thankful to be allowed in. We got a custard tart (creamy, mild, fresh) and a cream tart on a biscuit (fresh cream, just enough sweetness, and paired well with the light biscuit). I wanted to go back, but I kept arriving well past closing time.
