Sea View Tea Rooms - Gwynedd

I visited this restaurant for breakfast a few times while staying in Borth y Gest with friends. The service was excellent, with all the staff being very helpful. The breakfast menu was fantastic, featuring fresh, well-cooked ingredients. The coffee was also great, and I appreciated that the restaurant is dog friendly.

We stopped here for lunch whilst walking along the coastal path, service was great and the food was lovely. It's in a great spot overlooking the harbour too.

Arrived after a walk. Place was busy (but still not busy enough for people to have no manners! so we were unsure if we would get a table, would have been prepared to wait. However, the lady who I presume is the manager disregarded us completely, told her junior member of staff to let us know “no space”, despite being stood right in front of us, didn’t even acknowledge us. There was a table with no reserved sign on in the window, which a couple then came in and took! So clearly there was space. Unwelcoming, and definitely will not be going back again. We then had to walk all the way back to Porthmadog for lunch, where we had a fantastic meal highly recommend the big rock cafe over this place! Change your attitude!!

Went on 19th August, five of us. It was a bit cold and windy after storm Betty so we sat inside. The staff were brilliant, sorted us a table for five and couldnt have been more helpful. we ordered meat, seafood and vegetarian dishes and every one was delicious. The portions were huge. Three of us had the seafood pasta and I can say the it was well recieved by all. First time in Borth Y Gest but it wont be the last. Welsh hospitality at its best, great food, great staff, great atmosphere and even a great view out of the window, Thanks guys.

First time visiting and absolutely loved it. Table of 7 on NYE. Lovely atmosphere, staff were very friendly, great with the kids and everything we ordered was really tasty and beautifully presented. Great find and would love to come back.
