Had lunch today and wow it is fantastic. started with a mixed platelet beautiful, then lead slurry, which was so light, but tasteful and lachs pasta then a trio of panna cotta and a creamma with zimtfruit. we recommend this place really if they want to eat authentic Italian and good service, it simply can't fail and we will be back in juli can wait x
Our second visit in the osteria. we started with a wonderful plate of mixed meat, cheese with honey, a deep roast broth dish, white cabbage quiche etc. next I had a hearty agnello Tuscan stew and my wife had a zucchini pasta dish. we both ended with beautiful panda cotta and were very satisfied and full. the diner next to our table that it was her best Italian farewell outside italian, and I think the osteria caernarfon is quite top.
It was a long day for us when we traveled from angles to the end of the Llyn Peninsula and eating early bites was exactly what we needed before the trip back to our caravan in rhosneigr. we chose italian and I called for a reservation as soon as we saw that osteria the highest rated italian in caernarfon. we have booked for 6 o'clock without problems, although it is the bank holiday sunday. it was a bit of an attempt to find the restaurant located in a pedestrian zone, very close to the burg, but with the help of Google cards and a good sense when we made it just before 18 clock. we sat outside for a few minutes before the waiter (operator? noticed us and welcomed us in. we had the choice when ant table for two, top or bottom, and we chose top which is light and airy. the waiter needed time to explain the menu and came to order our order after a few minutes. the wine list is extensive and there was peroni available, much to my man joy. there was a list of about 10 bruschetta and we decided on a sharing plate of three different, each for £10. a perfect starter. then we both ordered from him. I asked for lasagne, which was creamy and perfectly spiced. my man ordered the pasta with a creamy pfeffer sauce and courgettes. he was very happy with this simple pasta dish and then we chose panacotta, a fruit-covered Custard tea and an almond-covered chocolate cake with cream. all served with attention and humor. many thanks to our waiter who made the evening most pleasant. when we left at 7.30 a.m., there were still a few tables that were available despite this a busy weekend, so if they didn't book, I'm sure there would be space if they crossed their fingers.
