The Mill-y Felin - Gwynedd

The Sunday lunch was fantastic and the evening meal was also excellent. I have visited before and the service was great then too.

We recently celebrated a colleague's retirement with an afternoon tea at this restaurant. It was absolutely amazing! We enjoyed a selection of freshly made sandwiches, including prawn, cheese, home-baked ham, BLT, tuna, and egg, all served on brown and white bread with salad garnish. The homemade scones with jam and cream, summer fruit meringue, chocolate eclair, and bara brith were delicious. The tea and coffee pots were regularly refilled, and the staff, although busy with other customers, still took good care of us. Highly recommended!

We have visited The Mill a few times over the years and can never fault their Welsh breakfast - it is always very nice and filling. Yesterday, we went in search of lunch but they were fully booked. They kindly offered us a table in the seating area with low tables, but because we arrived early, they arranged a table for us near the door. My wife is vegetarian and dairy-free, and they were able to adapt some items from the Sunday menu for her, which was a nice touch. We ended up choosing the roast salmon and beef dinner, which was amazing - as you can see from the photos. We were served nice warm homemade rolls to start, with proper butter for me and dairy-free for my wife. We both left with clean plates and the total cost, including a couple of soft drinks, was £40. We will definitely be back, but next time we will make sure to book in advance as they get very busy - a good sign!

We chose this place for its gluten free Roast Dinner and it did not disappoint. The staff were v knowledgeable on cross contamination and ingredients in all their dishes. Sophia took our order and gave me confidence that my meal would be fine and it was. Being vegetarian too I’m awkward but this wasn’t a problem, she made sure I got a delicious roast and plenty of choice for dessert. Highly recommended.

Fantastic food, lovely building, and staff. Will be revisiting without doubt. Would recommend if you're in the area. Do check opening times as not open every day.
