La Cucina - GYMEA

My wife and I have dinner at this restaurant about once or twice a month, usually on a Thursday or a Friday. I have nothing but positives to say about the food, the service, the staff and the owners. It is the most consistent restaurant I 've been to, and if it wasn 't so hard to find a baby sitter we would be there every weekend. I was actually sitting near the 'gentlemen ' who wrote the two previous reviews onFriday night, and I am disgusted that you are able to sprout such lies about a small business. We had to ask to be moved as my wife and I could not stand the conversation from these two men, and happened to be sitting right near the bar when they so 'politely ' declined to pay their bill. The scene they caused, and the language they used was disgusting. They even said there was absolutely nothing wrong with the food, they just wanted a discount. I would encourage people to try this restaurant, despite what the negative Nancy 's might say, it 's a great one!

Great food, service was friendly but ever so slow. Over an hour between bread and main course. About two servers for a room of 50, way understaffed!

We celebrated my daughter's 18th birthday with her family at this restaurant last September on a Thursday night with a party of 8. I am quite surprised by the negative reviews because I thought the food was excellent, the service was attentive, and we all had a really enjoyable evening. The salt and pepper squid was especially memorable, as it was the most tender I have ever had. Everyone at the table ordered different dishes and all were enjoyable. Even though I am not a coffee aficionado, I can say that the coffee was also quite good as I would have remembered if it were bad.

This small restaurant is definitely one of my favorites. The food is absolutely delicious. I have a few go-to dishes on the regular menu, but I always look forward to the new and exciting options on the specials board. The service is always friendly, even though the restaurant is always bustling. Be sure to make a reservation or you might not get a table! The restaurant is spacious and open, and while it can get a bit noisy, it only adds to the authentic Italian atmosphere.

Every time I come to this restaurant it feels like eating at a friends house. Friendly and welcoming staff, delicious and well priced food, a warm and inviting decor. I've never found the food to be served slowly, as in some other reviews, but then again if I wanted my food reheated in a microwave and served in 5 minutes I would go to McDonalds. Always a popular restaurant and rightly so, my family and friends will continue to meet at La Cucina Gymea. Great coffee too!
