What a whole restaurant cabinet. the waitresses ran around like headless chicken. I thought I should have gone and helped one of them to open a bottle of wine at one point! it took them well 20 minutes to appear with our drinks and come another 20 minutes for our food and it wasn't even so busy. they did not bring water glasses after they were remembered twice. the dumplings were cold. I could go on. oh, and is that one thing to get water? wow. the other dishes were at the end surprisingly good, but then we were all so upset that nothing could feel better over the entire experience. a place to avoid in any case when they are hungry!
Grand Holm Marina has electric picknic boats for rent: 35€ for 1 hour, max 6 people. Fun, but slow going. Depending on the waves and wind you'll only make it as far as to Kuursaal/polar bear statue by the promenade. Don't try to go too close, as the seaweed might get stuck in the engine. An awesome alternative to the row boats, though!
Very beautiful place for summer dinner at the small marina. Eating is okay, but not excellent. chicken liver was very good, tender, not overcooked and nice portion. fish sandwich had good and delicious marinated little fish, but I would have it with black. roggenbrot not white preferred. it still tasted ok, but not so easy to cut the brot when it got a bit wet. pelmeni had good taste, but roast ruined all the delicacies that have these noodles. would eat again if not cooked fried. burger was average, not the best they can get in haapsalu. so interesting that only one waitress offered her customers brot what they ordered. the other two have not troubled themselves with this, and they do not drink a coffee there unless they like burned and bitter. will I have gone back? yes, for beginners.
We had a nice time on the terrace of the restaurant. the food was delicious and looked interesting, each meal was like a piece of art. the service was not great. the waiter should gain more confidence and make sure that the customer is treated as a king. we had a person with some food restrictions and it did not seem that his wish could be granted, so he had to filter his food unhappyly. Although he was served only with berries a special dessert, a chocolate was thrown out of any background on the food. more care and trust for the young servants, please! this helps in communication and guarantees that their customers visit them again. the chefs deserve it!
