On Easter Sunday, the restaurant was fully booked, which was expected. However, it is important for a review to be honest. We were prepared to wait due to the busy day. Unfortunately, after one meal arrived, we waited 20 minutes for the others only to find out they had been cancelled without our knowledge. The staff apologized and offered us two drinks for the remaining three of us (as one dish was meant for two people). However, when we requested the beer they offered, we were told it was out of stock. As a gesture of goodwill, they gave us a bottle of wine instead. When the other meals finally arrived, the steak and chorizo dish was disappointing as the steak was tough and fatty in parts, especially considering its $85 price including a supplement. Despite bringing this to their attention, no refund was offered. While the waiting staff were polite and the venue was beautiful, the overall experience did not justify the high price we paid.
The view locsaion are great. The food was ok at best. We both had the barramundi which was nice but ordered a side salad tgat didnt come. We ordered an entree that didnt come. Ordering at the bar is the worst part of tge visit. One bar staff that knew what they were doing and two others that had no idea thus the lack of entree and side salad. If you see people waiting patiently in line serve them.
Having once been a fan of this venue, never again. Gone from the menu is all the standard pub food scotch fillet steak and chips, fish and chips and instead there are some weird offerings. I had the honey soy salmon which was overcooked. One of my dining companions had the chicken burger it was an overpriced offering and greasier than anything from KFC. We ordered drinks the bar attendant said she’d bring them to us. Eventually we found our drinks sitting on the bar. The guacamole appetiser which was supposed to come with the drinks came AFTER we got our mains. As for atmosphere, a loud mediocre band set up in the corner blasted us with 1980s tune’s making conversation impossible. Beautiful balmy evening on the deck but couldn’t wait to leave. Never again.
Had a catch up with 14 friends in January, overlooking the spectacular water views food was excellent, lots of choice of items and prices. Very good for a group as you can order and pay individually for food and bar. Service friendly and efficient. Easy to book online. We are already planning our next catch up there!
