Yunnan Garden Restaurant is a Chinese eatery located in Hacienda Heights, California. The ambiance features beautiful traditional Chinese decor, while the dining area is clean and tranquil. The service is satisfactory. I awarded it 4 stars primarily for their tea smoked duck—without a doubt, the best I've tasted in eastern California. The skin was perfectly crispy, and the smokiness was just right. I recently tried tea smoked duck at several restaurants in Rowland Heights, but was quite disappointed. Their rice noodles were also good. Overall, Yunnan Garden stands out as superior to many average Chinese restaurants in the area. I will definitely return for that delicious tea smoked duck.

Not a big fan of her rice noodles. Breadh is too bland for me. But love their cold dishes! And must mention that they have very reasonable price.

In April 2022, I still love the food here and have had the opportunity to try many new dishes. I’m giving it four stars because it’s frustrating that they continue to use disposable dishes. The food is fantastic, and my friends find it genuinely authentic. It’s well-known for its cold dishes, and you can often spot a tour bus parked outside. However, everything I've tried has left a great impression. I'm a big fan of the Ma Po Tofu (I always ask for extra spice), the boiled fish, and the twice-cooked pork belly. This place is perfect for groups; you can order the favorites and then take a chance on something unexpected.

Clean, authentic decor, pleasant setting, friendly waitresses, spicy authentic Hunan flavors! Mapo tofu, walnut shrimps and Special Seethed Fish to die for ... at a very amazing price and generous portion. The best Spicy Food Restaurant in Southern California in the Valley rivaling Z&Y in Chinatown San Francisco. Gotta try this, feel really cleansing after dining here! The restaurant interior decor is NOT the usual tacky Chinese, this one is tastefully done however simple though not fancy at all. The outside restaurant front is part of a plaza difficult to enter from freeway 60 exit though parking is plenty and very practical as it is right in front of the restaurant. One can not find this restaurant easily thus remain a hidden jewel.
