You’ll want to order everything! My personal favorites include: - **Pork or Chicken Barbecue**: Simply the best! It's so flavorful and smoky, with a generous amount of juicy meat on each stick. - **Lechon Belly with Paella**: This must be ordered in advance, as it's not available over the counter. The lechon is perfectly crispy with a tender interior, and the paella is packed with seafood – absolutely delightful! - **Embutido**: This dish is great, but be sure to fry it before eating for the best flavor. - **Bilo-Bilo**: This is my favorite Filipino snack! It's creamy and packed with glutinous rice, plus the sweet potatoes are deliciously sweet. - **Baked Bangus**: This boneless bangus is topped with mayo and baked to perfection. We usually order three because it's just that good! - **Pansit**: The noodles are cooked perfectly, and the vegetables are fresh. - **Kutsinta**: This is another favorite of mine! It’s a rice cake topped with coconut strings – simply delicious. - **Buko Pandan**: This dessert gives you an authentic taste of buko pandan. I didn't take a picture, but it's definitely a must-try! Pricing is rated at 6/10 – very inexpensive! The cost is well worth all the deliciousness. I’ve visited multiple times even though I live in NYC, and I would recommend it for anyone, especially for parties. We come here just to enjoy their incredible food!
I had a delightful experience with the Filipino food in Bergen County. The place was clean, but unfortunately, I couldn't dine in due to Covid restrictions at the time. There was an impressive variety of dishes to choose from, and the prices were quite reasonable.
This is a great spot for Filipino cuisine. They offer a combo plate for $10 that includes rice or pancit along with two entrees. They regularly share their menu on Facebook every day. Additionally, they carry some Filipino grocery essentials that are hard to find elsewhere, such as halo halo ingredients, Magnolia ice cream, patis, banana ketchup, Nestle cream, and palabok noodles—though they don't have fresh produce.
I ordered a half tray of lumpia shanghai for a small party I was having. They made it in 30 minutes on the same day. I was so impressed. I did get worried cause of how fast they were making the food. But it was all fresh and hot and ready for pick up.
First off, the people here are all very nice and very helpful. They recommended foods when we weren't sure what to eat. Everything tasted good, from the Caldereta to Dinuguan to Adobo. The serving wasn't very big compared to other Filipino places, and taste was average. However, the main goal was for their Halo Halo which we were told they no longer serve. Huh? Why?? They said their new location in Maywood will have it. Silly that both locations won't have it. Not sure I'd go back for their food alone. I prefer other places in Bergenfield a bit better. Also, for those that have been here previously, it's noted on the door that they no longer provide free refills on rice.
