No chips or guacamole prior to ordering, no atmosphere, food is expensive. We ordered burritos and they were dry and tasteless. Had to pay for chips and guacamole which we refused.Drinks are from the refrigerator and is either a can or bottle.Burritos with beef, sour cream and a small amount of lettuce and tomato cost me $14.95…but tasteless and dry.Ignored the entire time. No regard for the consumer…a ghost town regarding the staff. Never again!
We ordered 2 burritos for take out. The burritos were good and you can tell it's all fresh ingredients. The red sauce was very spicy but makes a good combination with the sour cream. The lady was nice. Definitely up there in Mexican style food.
The food here is absolutely amazing. The meat is fresh and clean, the ingredients are top-notch, and the spicy dishes have a perfect kick. Everything we ordered, including the tamales and rice and beans, was bursting with flavor. When we visited, the restaurant didn't have air conditioning, which meant the door was open and a few flies were buzzing around, but it might have just been a temporary issue. The decor is charming, and it's a bring-your-own-bottle place, which we loved. There are a couple of small tables outside if you prefer dining al fresco. The tacos would make a fantastic addition to a party platter, especially when paired with large bowls of rice and beans—delicious food with zero effort! I apologize for not taking any photos, as we devoured everything too quickly, but we will definitely be back soon, likely with a jar or two of sangria!
We ordered two quesadillas, but when we opened the container, we found four tacos in each. We drove back to get our correct order, only to be informed that what we received was indeed a quesadilla. Apparently, what I actually wanted is called "gringas." I was tempted to order tacos to see how they differed, but I've been eating quesadillas since I was a child. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and keep my order. However, I found the amount of cheese to be minimal—at most, just a slice. I'm used to much more cheese in my quesadillas. Rivera Maya and Jose Tejas will continue to set the standard against which I compare all other restaurants.
I ordered the pork tacos (a serving of five), and they were absolutely amazing! The tacos were incredibly fresh, and the chips and guacamole were delicious too. My family and I highly recommend this place!
