My friend and I decided to try Blackstones Restaurant on Rt.46 in Hackettstown today. Boy, were we in for a real treat! She and I both got the split pea soup and bar non, it was the best I'd ever had! It was loaded with bacon and potatoes and carrots! It had croutons and, of course, the split pea broth. We both had the delicious Caesar salad. I had the Chicken penne vodka and she had the Chicken Saltimbocco. Both dishes were excellent! We both had plenty to take home for another meal!
Homemade barley soup was delicious. Chicken cesear salad was good but chicken was unappetizing looking but tasted good.
I just did take out of rack of lamb with an awesome gravy, potatoes, and vegetable. I must say it was the best rack of lamb ever.!! Pete did an excellent job cooking this meal!!
This has been a GO-TO place for us for years from back when it was known as “Pietros”. The owner and chef Peter Giller is outstanding and still going strong with the same incredible quality that keeps you coming back. Please support this great local business ! And try the specials !! Awesome catering too.
