The Pour House - Hahei

This restaurant is very laid-back and has extremely friendly staff who are always smiling. The food is overall very good! We tried the Pork Ribs and Fish & Chips and both were delicious. These items can be found on their specials menu, which is written on a chalkboard in the bar. Don't be surprised if you only find a Pizza menu online, as they offer more than just pizza. Today, they also had a beef bacon burger and a poke bowl with salmon on their specials menu. The beers they offer are also quite enjoyable. As this is our first day in New Zealand, we can't compare prices to other restaurants, but I would say the prices are similar to those in a standard European city.

I recently visited The Pour House on a sunny day and I was thoroughly impressed by the welcoming atmosphere, delicious food, and fantastic craft beers. I ordered the pumpkin soup, which was truly exceptional with its creamy texture and rich, flavorful taste. The highlight of my visit was the Brew Bear, a large stuffed bear donning a Pour House t-shirt and holding a pint of beer - it was adorable and brought a smile to my face. The pizza was outstanding with its thin crust, fresh toppings, and generous amount of cheese. I also tried the Good as Gold beer, a light and refreshing pilsner with a citrusy aroma that paired perfectly with my meal. The staff were attentive and provided me with helpful tips on things to see and do in the area. Overall, my experience at The Pour House was fantastic and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys great food and beer. It truly was the highlight of my trip!

What a lovely restaurant! They kindly held a table for us, even though our arrival time was uncertain. The food was delicious, well-presented, and they have their own impressive selection of drinks. The spiced cider was a highlight! Beth provided great service, even going out of her way to make a cocktail for my father, despite not being a typical cocktail bar. Overall, a fantastic place to dine! And let's not forget to give Beth a raise :p

Great food and atmosphere. The pizzas were really good. The bartender who took our order and person who brought out our pizza were both super friendly and accommodating. Was a great place to grab dinner with my kids. I also heard the bartender put a very professional but firm stop to a young man calling her “baby doll,” which is apparently a thing that still happens to female bartenders. So that was awesome.

The ladies who served us were amazing. They knew the menu well, they were very helpful and always smiling. We headed here after our long walk from cathedral cove. We were very hungry and it was very late. Most food places were closed but this one was open. The girls who served were smiling and welcoming. They were kind and and answered to all queries. We had tacos and pizzas. The tacos ranch was vegan and yummy. The pizza base was thin, crispy and well done. The toilets are clean. The atmosphere is very calm and serene.
