The Plough Hahndorf

The best scones I've ever tasted! Even the plain bread is wonderfully traditional, fluffy, and crispy! You absolutely must try the friand; the pumpkin filling is exceptional. Everything they prepare on-site is fantastic! During my three-night stay in Hahndorf, I found myself returning every morning for a nice cup of latte and a scone—definitely a highlight of my getaway in the Adelaide Hills. The owners, a delightful Irish family, are friendly and helpful, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. The vibe of the cafe is fantastic! This place is truly a gem in a popular tourist destination. Be sure to visit, and you might find yourself coming back for more!

A charming Irish experience in Hahndorf! The owners were incredibly welcoming, even taking our order as they opened the doors for evening service. We enjoyed delicious Guinness, lively Irish music, and wonderful conversation throughout the evening.

I am so glad I was introduced to this delightful Irish Venue a couple of years ago. I have returned a number of times and told many about it. Each time has been for Friday night live Irish music. It takes me right back to visits to Ireland. The food is authentic and very delicious. The service great and always with a smile and a chat. A good choice of drinks available including of course Guinness for those who love it. The music is also authentic and adds to the charming atmosphere of this Irish island in a German focussed town Hahndorf Adelaide Hills) Lots of Irish signs, photographs and memorabilia add to the vibe of this delightful venue. First time visiting “The Plough” and honestly I’ll be again and again!! Had a coffee to start and that was a solid 5 out of 5!! I had the Guinness pie meal and it was the best I have had!! The atmosphere was spot on, customer service second to none!! (Would leave a photo of my food but I ate it before the thought of leaving this review)
