Selena's - Haines Falls

I visited this restaurant with hopes of enjoying a pleasant breakfast, but I never felt welcomed or comfortable. The waitress seemed to be in a bad mood, appearing serious and grumpy. As someone who also works in customer service, I understand the importance of leaving personal issues at home. The potato skins I ordered were disappointingly thick.

This small diner is fantastic. It was bustling and it seemed like they were short-staffed in the kitchen as the service was a bit slow, but we weren't in a rush. We came for breakfast and had the delicious eggs Benedict with lots of sauce, tasty pancakes, and crispy home fries. The waitstaff was extremely friendly. We are in town for a week and plan on returning to sample the prime rib.

After a cold camping trip, we enjoyed two delicious omelets at this restaurant that warmed us right up. Both omelets were cooked perfectly and the seasoned potatoes were a great addition. The service was fantastic - quick and friendly. The menu is extensive, so there is something for everyone to enjoy.

The food was great and the restaurant is super cute. But…. The waiter wasn’t very nice. He didn’t really help us when we were asking questions about the menu and when we asked for more time he seemed annoyed. That was my main issue which sucks because service is the most important. That being said, if I ever find myself at kaaterskills fall again, I’ll probably come back.

Stumbled upon this diner on the way home from a quick ski trip to belleayre great pit stop for the area! Lots of offerings and food comes out very quickly. Average diner pricing. Ended up seeking out the place the next time we went to ski, so kept us coming back. Haven’t tried their pizza so can’t speak on that.
