Big Al's Salmon Shack - Haines

For what it is—a food truck in a trailer—they really excel. The quality of the food is impressive, and the service is friendly, with plenty of flavorful spices. The server was knowledgeable, sharing details about the origins of the ingredients and their local sourcing. I tried the salmon fishing chips, and the Sockeye salmon was incredibly moist, which is not easy to achieve with that variety. The bread was a bit old-fashioned, but I’d prefer quality fish served on traditional bread over something like an overly fancy Japanese Panko crust any day. Great job! I’m excited to try more of your seafood offerings!

Now Genos is still the same large thin broken locally caught fish. Now they also offer chicken strips. Best food and price in Haines.

This food truck offers delicious fish at a great price. The fries are freshly cut and absolutely amazing. However, there isn't a good spot to park the food truck.

Best fish and chips I've had for a long time! This local favorite will not disappoint!
