This restaurant is a great spot to have a beer, but I wish they would improve their food. We decided to give them a try instead of going to our usual fish fry place. Unfortunately, the fish fry tasted like the oil it was fried in and the baked potato was not hot. The fish boil with mashed potatoes was also lukewarm and the carrots were overcooked. Overall, we were quite disappointed with the food quality. The service was decent and the atmosphere was nice. Food rating: 2, Service rating: 4, Atmosphere rating: 4.
One of our favorite places for a good ol' Milwaukee fish fry in a cozy, historic building. The traditional beer-battered fish fry dinner comes with the basics: French fries, cole slaw, marble rye bread, tartar sauce and a lemon wedge. All are fresh and delicious, and the fish and fries are served piping hot from the fryer. Brandy Old Fashioneds are quite tasty and refreshing too. And if you don't have time to dine in, try their convenient fish fry drive-through!
I was disappointed to find that my extra tartar sauce, which I paid for, was missing from my order. It's frustrating that I had to double check the bag. Despite this issue, I give the food a rating of 5, but the service only a 1.
