We enjoyed eating here a few weeks ago! Came from Jasper to the pharmacy up there because they had my medicine in stock and decided to grab dinner while we were in town. I ordered the steak and mashed potatoes, GREAT! I can't wait to come back. I have caught myself craving those mashed potatoes lately lol. We went there today to reminisce of when we lived there in the mid to late 60’s as kids. I’ve never paid for food that wasn’t edible. But that’s on me. I ordered what was supposed to be a barbecue pork sandwich with onion rings. It taste like it was straight out of a freezer bag. With about a teaspoon of sauce a few specks of coleslaw. 1 bite and done I couldn’t eat it. Cold as heck the onion rings so greasy you couldn’t taste them. They taste like fish actually. We ordered fried pickle appetizer. It was okay. The service was not even tip worthy. Nothing was warm when it got to us never mind hot. I love Visits to Haleyville, AL when I’m home. But no more eating there. 3 patrons came in after us ordered was served before we were. I guess that’s why ours came out cold. We got put aside. Don’t bother going. I heard it wasn’t that great everyone will have a different opinion. Maybe I went on the wrong day. We had to find the wait staff to pay so we could go on our way. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
