Cameron's Inn - Half Moon Bay

Great unique place to get some fish and chips! There are so many different areas of decor to see while you are there! We have a seafood plate and a small pizza, so the fried seafood is good. However, if you are in the creek and are looking for Clam Chowder, go to Sam's Chowder house for it.

Food, service, and ambiance was perfect. Party of six including grandma and children sat at a good sized table, enjoyed the delicious tower of onion rings, clam chowder in a bread bowl, and fish and chips. There was a variety of food choices including many things you'd find at a real English pub, and plenty of child sized portions for the kids as well. This is my new favorite place to eat at in Half Moon Bay.

It took me decades to get in here because every time I tried before COVID the wait was hours. I don't know if/when they have music, but recently I have gotten in for lunch or cocktail hour without much trouble. This weekend we stayed next door at The Aristocrat Hotel so we were right there. I think that their clam chowder is the best in the area. They don't put a bunch of cornstarch filler in it they use real cream the way my mom used to do it. Also, although they weren't the best to me, the fish and chips weren't bad, the chips were really good, fish okay. Prices were still pretty fair.IT is a fun and overstimulating environment with every single square inch filled with Anglophile mementos. I think it would be very fun to try a trivia night there if you could.

This is for Julie: Incredibly able to treat our big party in a busy night. St Patrick's day is not easy and she was so attentive and sweet. Just such a great service and I guess she's so calm and treated everything we were with her. No light night, but it took like a champion and had such a positive attitude, smiled. If we have any questions or need to supplement our massive order, it has treated it. 20 people, 1 person is not easy. But Julie took it and succeeded! What a jewel.
