When I visited Halifax, I came across this restaurant and was excited to try some authentic food. We arrived at 12:20 p.m. for the lunch buffet, but were disappointed to find mostly empty trays and small portions in the bowls. I asked the staff if more food would be coming out, but they didn't seem confident. We decided to leave and ended up enjoying some delicious Thai food from a nearby street vendor instead. Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant.
Great simple Filipino buffet. Large curry dishes, steamed vegetable rice, Singapore noodles, steamed vegetables, a flat cake like Pakoras, spicy beef, salad and homemade mango ice cream. Several plates full for only $11! Service and kindness were excellent. Worth trying.
I have visited this restaurant three times since it opened this summer. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. It has a very cozy atmosphere. I absolutely love it.
This hidden gem offers authentic Filipino cuisine in an all-you-can-eat buffet style at a very affordable price. The owners are friendly and charming, making you want to visit regularly. Trust me, you don't want to miss out on this place!
Dropped by between appointments downtown...I only had time for a snack-on-the-go, so I asked for a BBQ pork skewer with Rocky 's Special BBQ Sauce , which I finished as I completed my walkabout downtown. I was there around 11:30 am on a Tuesday and everything was just in the final stages of cooking for a Filipino buffet lunch which looked and smelled amazing. I will be back for this inexpensive buffet lunch in the near future and enjoy a meal at one of the tables inside this little oasis. Please note that they are only open for lunch om weekdays (T-F ... not sure about Monday 's) and late night Friday and Saturday evening serving Rocky 's BBQ pork skewers for $2.50 (so good, you will desire 2). They will place the BBQ pork on a bun instead of a skewer if you desire
