I would love to have the recipe for that. The sandwich was $8.50 plus tax so it was a bit on the pricey side, but not unreasonable for the quality of the food provided. This cafe/resto is a good size for a small group of friends, though I'm not sure it would be easily able to accommodate a large group. The service was fast and friendly.
Awesome place to go if you are a vegan. staff not overly friendly, but didn't ruin my experience. vegans, or healthy whole foods eaters will love it! SO YUM
If local, organic, fresh food is something you value, give this place a try. It has become a Saturday after-run favourite. While they don't put much resources online and it's somewhat difficult to find their menu, the food is what matters. I always end up ordering one of the power bowls, but everything else on the menu looks good. Give these guy a try!
I call it an experience, because it is unlike any other restaurant I have ever been in and believe me I have been in a lot of restaurants in my life in several countries. I arrived early, after arriving on the wrong day for an appointment, I said "what luck, I get to visit Blue Apples Arts and Wellness Centre!" I thought I might get tea and relax for a bit, I thought I would find tea to take home since I was familiar with the Blue Apples proprietors before they had their Halifax location and I buy from them at the farmers market. I looked forward to browsing the shop, likely find a beautiful tea to take home. I had a warm greeting upon entering and although it was still early I could smell beautiful smells coming from upstairs, I soon left my tea shopping to see what was cookin'! The restaurant/yoga corner/library drew me in and and made me want to stay forever. The staff were wonderful, helpful and patient while I pondered my choices. I had a lovely veggie rice bowl, very tasty and filling, sitting in a large sun-filled room with a good book from the shelf. I'm sure the questions below will ask if this restaurant is child friendly, although it is an adult environment, how can I say a child would not enjoy being at Blue Apples, and there is not box that says what I want to say...I'm sure everyone is welcome at Blue Apples!
This place from the beginning is welcoming. It smells nice, there's bulk items to buy (we got cat nip and tea) little piles of stones everywhere. The staff was extremely nice and the food was delicious. We went two days in a row (because you have too) the Cesar salad was the best I've ever had! I also had the breakfast sandwich. The menu is entirely vegan which is wonderful
