Elements on Hollis - Halifax

It was my first time eating the breakfast buffet. I’ve been a Halifax local for 20 years and I’m glad I’ve finally found this place! Best bang for your buck for a buffet, a huge selection with extremely friendly staff. Our waiter, Jose, was everything you want in a waiter and he should get a raise.

My family made a reservation online through OpenTable for my daughter's birthday at this restaurant. We walked there from Hotel Halifax, only to find it closed. It almost ruined her birthday. Making last minute reservations during Covid-19 in Halifax, especially while standing in the pouring rain, was a terrible experience.

We were searching for a peaceful spot to reconnect with some family we hadn't seen in a long time, and Elements was the perfect choice. It was nearly empty on a Thursday evening, which suited us fine, although it felt a bit odd being the only guests aside from a few other tables throughout the night. The atmosphere was uncomfortably cold and had a strange, overly fragrant smell that reminded me of certain Las Vegas casinos (which is not a compliment). Our server was excellent and made sure to take good care of us, but unfortunately, the food was only average and forgettable.
