Genji Sushi - Halifax

I absolutely adore sushi, and this place serves top-notch sashimi with attentive staff. It's one of my favorite spots. I live three hours away and I will definitely be coming back for more!

The service at this restaurant was quick and welcoming. The food was incredibly tasty and our table was quickly filled with a variety of dishes.

Went here with my wife and 2 kids back in June service was good food was brought out quckly and was tasty. Waitress constantly checking with us on how everything was. We enjoyed our food and the service. We were seated near the front door....Our second visit was in August on Sunday the 4th. The place was a little busier than when last here. We were seated towards the back. We made our first order and didnt get hakf of it i ordered 2 beef kabob only got one, orderd sweet and sour pork never received it. There was another one we didnt get. On the second round we ordered and again gad to ask about items we ordered. Waitress went to check never came back. Found the service to be very unorganized and im sure some if our items going to a table that just arrived. When we again asked about my wifes shrimp irder the waitress went to see came bavk and said they were busy with irders and ut will be out shortly after almost 15 min it finally came. Not impressed with thrir service they dont have the tables marked on the order sheet in order to follow up properly. After the meal we paid and left. Later that night i felt sick and ended up on the toilet off and on for close to 3 hours. Will not be going back after that.

For a AYCE, this place is very decent. We arrived around 1:30 and the menu was very extensive. There’s Thai, Korean, Chinese dim sum and other Asian fusion items. My own complaint is their portion size. It’s huge compared to other AYCE in the HRM....Consider yourselves warned so you don’t order too much food and feel like a blimp for the rest of the day! Speaking from experience

This sushi was unlike anything I've ever had. Extremely fresh and well put together. The service was very fast and the wait staff was extremely friendly. We had the sweet potato tempura, salmon avocado, cucumber avocado, cheese wontons and corn fritters. The sushi was so...good! The cheese wontons are fried wontons with cream cheese inside and the corn fritters are actual corn nibs shaped into a square patty, deep fried with a sweet glaze over the top. I would absolutely reccomend this place and if I lived in Halifax I would be going there at least once a week.
