La Cucina Cafe Halifax

To start, the restaurant had no record of my reservation, despite me having confirmation. The staff seemed unaware and unprepared for my party of 7 celebrating a birthday, as well as my special requests. After arriving at 4:30pm, we had to wait for a table to be set up and then waited 15 minutes just to order water. We were not offered bread as usual, and had to ask for it ourselves. The appetizers took an hour to arrive and were cold and unappetizing. Our meals didn't come until 6pm, 1.5 hours after we arrived, and were also cold and disappointing. The service was slow and the food not worth the high price we paid. Overall, a terrible experience costing $243.00. We will not be returning and do not recommend this restaurant to others.

We were happy we made reservations. The restaurant is not fancy, but serves excellent food. The service was gracious and the food was delivered quickly. It was very busy due to Valentine's Day, but if you enjoy good food without the fancy atmosphere, this is the place to go. The prices are reasonable and we had a lovely evening.

To kick off the evening, our Open Table reservation was not received. However, the staff quickly accommodated our group of 7 and found us a table. Unfortunately, our drink order included a glass of sour milk with no replacement available. Our waiter appeared inexperienced and a bit disorganized, but ultimately provided good service. In the future, I would avoid using Open Table to reserve a spot at this restaurant.

First off, they had no idea of my reservation, which I had proof of confirmation. The girl said really? I wasnt told. It was a reservation for for a Birthday, which I had also made a special request with my reservation which obviously they also had no idea about so it didnt happen. We arrived at had to wait for her to set up a table for Waited mins to be asked what we wanted for drinks which was water... it took mins to get that to us. We were not offered bread which they usually do... she says, ok I will ask if I can get you some. We ordered appetizers... it took until hour after arriving to get them. They were cold and horrible. We waited another mins for our meals to arrive... its now we have been here hours and just getting our meal. The meal comes, and small bun of bread for people. I have an month old who us now fussing from waiting so long to eat... and angry others. The meals were cold and not enjoyable or worth the money. It cost us and the food and service was terrible. Will NEVER go back there nor would I recommend to others

Glad we had reservations. Very unassuming restaurant. Not fancy. Butthey make excellent food. Service is very gracious. Food delivered in timely fashion. Because of Valentine's Evening, very busy. If you love good food, but don't need the fancy, come here. Prices are reasonable. We had a lovely evening
