They have mastered the art of seasoning and cooking meats to perfection. The Pork Brisket practically melted in my mouth, and the grilled Chicken leg was delicious. The Ribs were perfectly smoked and the sides were fantastic. The Poutine and Mac and Cheese were standout dishes, and the Coleslaw was fresh. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the service was quick. The restaurant was bustling and had a great atmosphere. Definitely worth the price - we will definitely be returning.
Oh my goodness, the BBQ at this place is absolutely amazing!! I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys BBQ. I ordered the chicken sandwich meal and it was delicious. The best part was dining in at the restaurant, which made the experience even better. They also have a variety of sauces available at the table.
The staff is friendly, but parking on the street is limited. The pulled pork and pork ribs were delicious, however, the brisket lacked the smokey flavor I was hoping for. The sweet potato chips, cornbread, and beans were all tasty.
Yum! We had Ribs and Pulled Pork, Fries and Slaw. Really good, highly recommended. Great flavour. Friendly staff. Things were busy but the team was all very friendly and good. Again, Super yummy.
My love and I stopped into Bonehead's BBQ for dinner today as it has been sitting, taunting me across the street from his apartment all week. Nice little place. Cute small-time family atmosphere. Max seating for the restaurant seems to be about 20. Prices are reasonable. I had the brisket, rib and sausage plate which came with a mountain of French fries (seem to be a staple here and ordered Cole slaw and potatoe salad as a side. (Planning to take home for snacking later. Cost was about $18CA/pp. The brisket was great, more moist than lean which is just the way I like it. Being from South Texas the sausage wasn't as hardy and spicy as I'm used to but still good and tasty in its own right. There were three sauces on the table; a hearty, a sweet and spicy and a mustard. I passed on the mustard but the other two were very tasty although I would consider neither to be spicy or hot. Again, that opinion is based on my South Texas taste buds. All in all a good little eatery that I won't hesitate to visit again when in Halifax.
