Waffle Love - Halifax

This place is so adorable! Myself and my parents went and our expectations were completely blown away. Limited seating, reasonable prices, and massive portions! Fresh squeezed lemonade and orange juice! Waffles were fluffy topped with a huge amount of fresh fruit! Waffles are in the name so unless thats what you are planning on getting this isn't the place for you! Amazing service! Will be back for sure!

Great staff, great little location in the hydrostone area. The sausage was amazing beyond!!! I was little disappointed in the presentation. I think in my mind I assumed it was going to be a stacked presentation like the sweet options. The egg product tasted powdered or an egg beaters product. Not sure what was going on there. Also the waffle could have used a little herbs and spices. I imagine it's great loaded with berries and cream but for a savoury dish it lacked excitement for me.I would go back just for that sausage though!

I had a craving for waffles and looked up waffle places online. I found waffle love and was immediately excited to try it. My husband and I went this morning for waffles and lemonade ( side note- the lemonade is to die for) and we were both really impressed. The place is small, like, really small. So go early if you want a seat! We only had to wait a few moments for one although the place was full when we arrived. The service was excellent, very attentive and friendly. Our waffles were excellent, not the best I've ever had ( but I'm still obsessed with the waffles I ate while in Belgium last year, so I'm comparing them to those!) but definitely a good choice in Halifax. Mine had tons of fruit, custard and real whipped cream. I didn't think I could eat it all as the portion was large, but it was way too good to waste, so I cleaned off my plate! We will definitely be back!

We went because my 14 year old likes waffles. The menu has a huge combination of waffles and not much else. Which I guess to be expected but I was hoping for a few more breakfast options. If you order the all day breakfast you get a sausage and scrambled eggs. It is questionable as to whether the eggs are real or powdered from a box. The sausage was okay but being covered with the bits that come out from first being boiled is unappealing. We make whole wheat waffles so the white pasty non crunchy waffle was not appealing. So if you want dessert for breakfast then you are in luck.

Everything about this place I love. From the décor to the outside seating area, to the young couple that own it. And of course the waffles! If you got a sweet tooth, or a hangover, this is the place to go! Real sausages and home made perogies are available with the breakfast waffle, but be sure to try to make it early, as they have little storage space, which means it's always fresh ingredients, so they often sell out of sausages and perogie ingredients, never waffles! They buy everything they can locally. A must on lists of places to visit.
