The meat and seafood cooked on the hot stone grill at the table were both unique and delicious. The service was laid-back and welcoming.

Wait staff were excellent, food was enjoyable stone grill ... Great conversation over the stone grill, good atmosphere and great views.

The steak was fantastic! I went for dinner and ordered the fillet steak cooked on a stone grill, and it was delicious. I highly recommend it.

I went to this restaurant last night because it was one of the few places open, and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. Like the previous reviewer, we were seated by a window with a view of birds and wallabies outside. The service was a bit slow, possibly because the sous chef was taking orders, but once we were attended to, ordering was easy. The menu had clear dairy-free options, and we decided to try both appetizers and mains due to the variety. My husband had the sweet potato and coconut soup, which was decent but could have had more flavor. I tried the pork and ginger stuffed hot chilies with mango and coriander sauce, even though I typically don't eat pork, and it did not disappoint. The mains, however, were not as impressive. The goat curry was tender but lacked the expected Indian flavors, while my fettuccine with tomato, bacon, and herbs was overcooked, watery, and bland. We left promptly, much to the annoyance of the sous chef, as there were no dairy-free dessert options to entice us to stay. Despite the disappointing main dish, I would be willing to give this restaurant another chance due to its pleasant atmosphere and variety of options, although I found it to be a bit overpriced.

Great value dinner. Good food and nice price.. My fiance and I had a very enjoyable dinner at Darcy's.<br/ So many menus are full of the SOS, but so much on their menu begged to be ordered. It was full of variety and, unusually for us, we ordered entree AND mains. Everything was delicious. I particularly liked the combination of earthy beetroot with the salty haloumi. My main was goat curry. Different and tasty. GF loved her veal shank pie with the bone poking out the top. So tender!<br/ <br/ Whether you're Aussies like us, or OS visitors, ask for a window table so you can enjoy the parade of birds that fly in to have a drink in the evening.<br/ <br/ I recommend Darcy's if you're in Halls Gap for it's combination of great food and reasonable pricing.
